Dr Rachel Awad was born and raised in New York City, where she obtained her BA in Biochemistry with minors in Biological Sciences and Music from CUNY Hunter College. She graduated with special recognition for co-founding the Pre-Dental Society of Hunter
College. She obtained her DDS degree at the NYU College of Dentistry and completed her residency at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital. A valid lifelong learner with a fierce hunger to continuously grow and enhance her skills, she has since completed extensive continuing education courses, including the NY/NJ AAID MaxiCourse in Dental Implantology, Level IV Live Surgery course with the New York Implant Institute, Implant Pathway, Botulinum toxin/Dermal Filler courses with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and is Invisalign certified. She is currently enrolled in the Dawson Academy Mini-Residency and on her way to becoming a Dawson Scholar in May 2025.
She is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, where she will be awarded her Fellowship in the summer of 2025 and is pursuing her Mastership. With a calm, approachable and friendly demeanor, she has great chairside manners and can put her patients at ease during procedures. She is always more than happy to thoroughly review findings and treatment plans with patients for a team approach in decision-making for optimal health. She loves what she does and is excited to be part of a team dedicated to an individualized approach to achieving quality care!
Outside of dentistry, Dr Awad is an active member of her church, where she sings and plays keyboard for the worship team, greatly enjoys spending time with her family and stays active by running, playing table tennis, pickleball and racquetball.
She feels blessed to be an integral part of restoring people’s smiles, health, and
confidence today!
